Brighter Colors

Hi, I'm a newbie here. These old eyes of mine just can't see these light colors. I can't even see what I'm typing - lol!
Am I doing something wrong? If not then brighter and bolder colors and font are needed. Having a hard time posting because of it. Thanks!!!!
